The West Shore Chamber held their 4th annual Wine Pairing event Tuesday in a most unusual place. The event was sponsored by Frampton Kimmel, a firm headed up by Chris Frampton and Jackie Kimmel to provide comprehensive financial planning services. The wine pairing was the fusion of carefully selected wines by Gene Zvolensky Capital Wine and Spirits with food prepared on site by Don Noss of Sir D’s Catering. Event Central converted a portion of their warehouse (the 35′ x 45′ tent wash bay) into an intimate tented event space with seating for 65. The Chamber had a full house for this event organized by the Women in Business Roundtable Committee .

The event started with a welcome reception in Event Central’s Show Room and included a Light Cheese and Crudités Display with our first wine selection. This was a great time for the guests to network with each other and check out Event Central’s unusual setting, a warehouse which was transformed into an intimate venue. We planned the flow of the event to be woven through the warehouse full of tables, tents, and  racks of dishes, while still providing the comfort of a banquet facility.

Next, guests were led onto the red carpet flanked by red velvet ropes and stanchions and into the tent. The tent was a 30×40 with designer ends and a combination of windowed and solid sidewalls. The general house lighting with accented strands of Italian lights created a wonderful atmosphere for this event. After everyone was seated, the main sponsors Jackie Kimmel and Chris Frampton spoke about their business.

Dinner included 3 courses. With each course, wine expert, Gene Zvolensky, talked about the wines vintage, region it came from and what to expect from it in terms of its taste. Chef Noss cooked in front of the guests, providing a full explanation of each dish and how to make it. This allowed the guests to ask many questions while enjoying the interactive experience. This is the 2nd time Event Central hosted this event and we went from around 25 guests last year to 62 guests this year.
