When Scott Harrison of  This Is It Productions called to say he was throwing a regional tent sale, he wasn’t kidding.  The first call I had was for 5 dealers in western PA – out of our area - so we referred them to Windswept Promotions - Latrobe, and General Rental Center - Cranberry.  Both are small party stores who use Event Central’s Tent Cleaning Service to bring a quality product to their markets.

Ten days later, This Is It Productions called Brad Vasey of our office, and confirmed an order for tents at 5 dealers located in Chambersburg, York, Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, and East Petersburg.

This afternoon, I called Dave Poper – Sales Manager for Hamilton Hyundai – Chambersburg, our first installation with a 20×20 Vista high peak top and topped off with a Hyundai Flag. As you can see by the picture, Dave was thrilled we could deliver one week early. He had already placed some graphics on the website to support the Pre-Sale.

The Regional Hyundai Tent Sale will be running officially from May 11 through June 30. They are using two different-sized high peak frame tents at each dealer’s main car lot.  This is It Productions specializes in large scale marketing and advertising of regional companies like this group of Hyundai dealers.  This is one way Party Rental Stores and Event Marketing Groups  join to help the Struggling Auto Dealers stretch their advertising dollar in this tight economy.

But the most exciting thing I learned during this sale is that Hyundai is on the verge of releasing the first in a series of new cars to join the challenge to reduce our country’s Oil Consumption. They will be rolling out the next generation Hybrid Sonata in 2009.  Long term, Hyundai’s web site says they are working toward a new family of cars made up of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV).
